Random message alert: Check out the 'Abnormal Angels' page! I put some novel pictures on there! And I made them myself! I'm so proud.
Yes. Today is Easter, and I'm making a post. You know, after my little sister played my alarm clock, finding only three-quarters of the eggs hidden in plain sight, and the lovely brunch at a buffet that was pretty expensive. But hey, it's Easter! Who care's about the price?
I ate brunch as one of the eight grandchildren in the family; four boys, four girls. My cousin Connor had six platefuls of crab (I'm NOT over-exaggerating here, I swear) and at least three desert plates, while his younger brother, Justin, DRANK a cup of chocolate from the chocolate fountain.
I love my family <3
They also had free bacon, so I was instantly transported to heaven. I had about five plates of bacon. Bacon. And more bacon. I think there should be a religion for bacon. I would worship it.
Anyhow, who cares about my life? I should be talking about Abnormal Angels. But here I am, babbling on about some buffet that we spent, like, 4 hours at. That, in fact, had a huge table dedicated to dessert. And a table dedicated to seafood. And a BIN full of crab. Yes, I said it. A BIN. Like this:
But it was MUCH, MUCH bigger.
SHUT UP, MIKIKI! *slaps self*
Okay, here's the snippet for today:
Daniel’s deep blue eyes followed the snowflakes as well, and
his hand reached under his jacket yet again and pulled out the gun. He tossed
it in his hands, looking over everything – the firing pin, the trigger, and he
even unloaded it and reloaded it. I looked as he pumped the barrel, invisibly
tucking the bullet into place. “Isn’t it supposed to not have a bullet in it when you aren’t using it?” I asked, and a
grin stretched on Daniel’s face. His eyes actually turned playful. “Normally.”
He said, and looked down the barrel of the gun, lifting it up and lining up the
sights somewhere on the wall. “But I think we can make an exception.”
“Can you even shoot
it?” I asked.
Daniel laughed and
lowered the gun to his lap, his finger well off the trigger the whole time. “Of
course I can. Actually, I’m a pretty good shot. My dad taught me how to use a
gun, you know, before mom died.”
Sadness panged in
my chest, but at Daniel’s careless look on his face, it soon disappeared. “And
you shot guns a lot?”
Daniel nodded, his
eyes moving back to the window. The grin on his face soon melted away. “I even
showed Pam how.”
I lowered my gaze.
Today was so depressing. Everything
was so depressing.
My head shot up as
the door creaked open. Kathryn appeared, with Tika standing at her feet. Her
tail wagged and her tongue flopped messily out of the side of her mouth, and
she was panting. Kathryn smiled at us and patted Tika’s head. “I figured you
three are all hungry,” Kathryn said. “Who wants to make pizza?”
“From scratch?” I
asked, and a wide grin spread across Kathryn’s overtired face. “Yup. Even the
dough.”

Yes, I'll admit. My rough-n-tough, mutated avian-human hybrids are taking some time off and making pizza. But it has a purpose, yes, EVERYTHING HAS A PURPOSE. They don't know that when Celeste decides to share the pizza with an assassin that they are currently holding captive, that the assassin, Serena, has escaped. *cue horror music* And that, my friends, drives us towards the climax. Not hardly there, but slowly getting closer. Who knew pizza could cause so much trouble?
And, to make this post even more agonizing, we got Just Dance 3 for the Wii today. My sister and I spent most of the time dancing horribly in front of the TV while my parents took videos. Ah, I love the holidays.
Agh! Some mercy. That doesn't even count as a post! By the way, a writer's job is to torture the CHARACTERS!!!!! NOT the innocent and desperate reader. Someday I shall get revenge! Yes, I will figure out a way! Maybe I will even write a totally amazing novel that you just can't put down and then...
ReplyDeleteBAM! Cut the ending straight out! Haha, that will show you!
The only problem is, I don't know if I could write a novel that juicy. xD
I am trying though. I have tons of good ideas and half-finished material. I just don't have anyone around me who I can share with and discuss. Nobody understand that writing is a true art. *Sigh*. It is so hard to be a good writer when you are all alone in a world of critics and you have no moral support or honest, good advice givers.
This, my dear person, is called JEALOUSY!!!!! xD
~Annie
I'm offended that you would criticize my version of a common post xD But then again, I am torturing you, so I suppose we're even. ^^
DeleteHowever, I feel the need to express a tip. Yes, here I go. And this one is for YOU, Annie.
Write. Write. Write some more, and don't stop writing. Take breaks for food, but that's hardly important. (Just kidding) If you keep writing, you'll get better. Write and read and write again, try to mirror a certain writing style and adapt to it. This is the best and most effective way to write the stories that I bet you'll be drop-dead-amazing at anyways. Practice, practice, and more practice. Yes, I'm being very repetitive right now.
You should read my work from last year, and the year before xD I look back at them and laugh. You get better with each story. I think I'd go insane if I didn't write. I'd have all these ideas crammed up inside my head and I'd have no way of getting them out.
Haha! Mine are probably worse. I thought I was writing an epic novel last year, but when I read it now, I split my sides! xD Kinda sad, really. :D
DeleteHaha, don't worry, I go through the exact same thing xD I seriously laugh my head off at my previous works and say, "I really thought this was good?!"
DeleteBy the way, could you have taken any longer to get to the SHORT baby-post you wrote? xD
ReplyDelete~Annie
When I am reading every single darn post of yours, I swear, this is a novel I don't want to stop reading. And that's just really amazing :) Um, so I have a huge question; okay are you going to write a sequel to this novel? I want to just hug this one to my chest and officially declare it my favorite :D Yes, even more than The Hunger Games. And RIGHT beside Pretty Little Liars (my very first on the spot).
ReplyDeleteGah, I LOVE your writing and I'm also doing NaNoWriMo. I just started last year. My username is Akirahwilliams99 (un-creative... Now you know my full name -_- and the year I was born) and I sent you a request.
Hmm... Everytime I start a new novel, I stop on it and take a look at yours. And sigh because I keep getting inspired. I WANT TO READ MORE.
Half of this wasn't even necessary ^____^ '
But this 12 and kind of a half year old girl living in California never says anything worth the necessary !!
<3
-Kira
Oh, and where do you make your pictures?
ReplyDeleteThey look awesome!!
<3
-Kira
GAH!!! I'm 12 too! I did just reveal my age... :P Whatever.
DeleteI smile as I read this, I really, really do. YOU LIKE IT BETTER THAN THE HUNGER GAMES?!
And of course I'm writing a sequel :P I'm one of those people who love series. So this, of course, is going to become a series.
I'm a total Photoshop girl ^^ I make all my pictures there, and thanks for liking them!
^^ Hee, I'm going to accept your request on NaNo!
Can I be your friend too? *makes big begging eyes*, please? My name on there is Brianne13. *Crosses fingers*
Delete~Annie
Haha! I . . . can't . . . take . . . the . . . cuteness!
DeleteRequest sent ;)
Okay, whew, calm down Akirah. She just replied to you... OHMIGOOSH !!! This is just beyond amazing for a 12 year old!!! (Dont wanna brag, buhhh , im kinda good too *checks finger nails with a cocky grin*) Ohmigosh.
ReplyDeleteYes, I TOTALLY like this better than The Hunger Games. And that's saying something. If this becomes an eBook or whatever, Im buying it. In fact, Im saving up money for it now.
I have 50 cents.
Pretty amazing , right?
Just kidding.
Im really saving up now. And now I forgot what I was going to say!!
Oh, that right! I used to write this story about angels too. I think I told you that, above.
-Kira
GAH! I just said GAH again . . . I think it's becoming something of a habit xD
DeleteWow . . . my book is being compared to The Hunger Games. That's a huge dream of mine, not kidding at all. That's phenomenal (if I spelled that right)
I'll bet you're good! Probably better than me, too xD
Plus, writing about angels? Awesome. Ohmigosh. (See that there? I copied you ^^)
