Celeste is an orphan, with her father locked up in jail for life and her
mother dead from a tragic car crash when Celeste was only eight. With
her two friends, Fletcher and Owen, she causes trouble around the
orphanage, having fun and messing around any way she can. The three of
them, at fourteen years old, both know that none of them will get
adopted, ever.
But all of that is going to change.
Suddenly, the orphanage is visited by a strange man, proposing an
opportunity to go to a high-end school made for orphans to give them a
better chance at life. Without hesitation, her friends agree to go.
Celeste is unsure, but she agrees.
But this 'school' turns out to be anything but a school.
All of the sudden Celeste is separated from her friends and thrown into a
cell, located in a secret military base on an island off of
Massachusetts. There, she meets Dylan, a boy who has been genetically
fused with avian DNA, giving him wings, and Daniel, who becomes fused as
well. After being altered herself, Celeste, Dylan and Daniel all
escape, but with no Fletcher and Owen in sight.
The three have to learn to trust each other and protect each other, but
most importantly, survive. Because they're being hunted down by the
hungry assassins of the Institute, and they aren't going to get away
easily.
But before them looms a big picture that neither have them can see -
they're there for a purpose. A reason that's bigger than anything else -
a reason that might just determine the fate of the world.
Celeste is the Alpha.

Believe me when I say this - it wasn't all that easy getting to 90 000 words. It's taken me about 5 months, on top of school, homework, horseback riding, soccer, after school band and general life as we know it. If I didn't live in the middle of nowhere I would probably get out more and my writing life would cripple and die like a leaf approaching autumn. But here I am, tucked away inside the depths of my room, sitting at my desk and writing while trying to improve my posture. I'm just kidding - my back is pretty straight. I alternate between hunching and sitting tall.
I'm over page 200 in Microsoft Word by now, and that's about 350 novel pages, I'm guessing.
So far so good in my story. I've got the apocalypse all planned out, I've got my three mutant bird children all lined up to take on whatever comes their way, I've got a rabid virus that's ready to be released to the public and to put a cherry on top a guy that desperately needs anger management dealing with the fate of the world. Oh, how wonderful the plot will be! My hopes are high and my tasks are set, and I'm ready to write this thing! I'm think that maybe I'll end at 450, 500 novel pages. So far the story line has hardly progressed and my attempt at slowing my plot approach down a little bit has taken too much of an affect.
This must be weird for you to be reading this and not knowing what I'm talking about. Would you like to read something from my story? Do ya do ya do ya?
Well, don't be silly! Look on my posts! DUH.
Anyways, here's some stuff I made or the novel. Hope you like it!
Keep in mind that I DID make all these myself, and I'm trusting YOU with them. Please only copy them when crediting to me, though I have no idea who anyone would want to. They're for my story, and they aren't very good for anything else . . .

Oh my gosh, your's is a trilogy too. xD My active series (The series title is a WIP, or Work In Progress) is supposed to have three books in it. It might end up with more, but that's what it's supposed to be.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds so good, I would LOVE to hear more of this story. This is pretty good. Keep me posted, please!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely approve. So, now that you finally have my stamp of approval that we all know you have been desperately waiting for, you may move on to your next project so that I can inspect that too. ;) Go on, hurry up, it is not like I have all day! xD
