Yeah. It's gone Viral.

Cue the suspenseful music! Dim the lights! We're going VIRAL.
Literally.
Yes, I mean it literally.
I'm here to write a longer post this time and not take up too much space with pictures of bins (refer to post below). Hopefully this is gonna be a better one, because I have much to say.
So, with that said, I'm going to say much right now.
For starters, I'll refer to the title and explain the new characters the story has expressed. They're masses of characters, and it'll be a big part of the plot for Abnormal Angels. What am I talking about, you ask? (You asked, right? Right?!) Well, they're not really characters. More like partially characters. It's an infection that will soon accidentally begin taking over the world. But that's not the main plot, no, it's just a . . . a 'pre-plot'. It'll drive us towards the giant thing, which will end up killing -
SHUT UP! I'm going to give away the whole story if I keep babbling. Sorry guys, you'll just have to wait for book 2 ;D
Anyways, this snippet (which is more like a chunk, lucky you) will explain a lot more. Although it will not explain the fact that the infected people are dubbed 'Virals' (Yes, the title). So there's a little behind-the-scenes info for you.
Well, here's the snippet/chunk!

Walker looked through the tinted glass of the gasmask, his sharp, always-frustrated eyes peering through the white cell bars in front of him. The boy sat cross-legged, calmly looking up at Walker, grinning. His head was tilted playfully, his teeth reminding Walker of a shark, jagged points sprouting out of the boy’s gums.
No, Walker thought with a sneer. That’s no boy anymore. It a monster inside an empty, dead boy.
Anne stood beside him, her face hidden by her mask. Her voice was muffled behind the barrier, but she was still understandable as she read, “Harry Petersons, age thirteen.”
“Tell me more about him.” Walker growled, watching his specimen as his specimen watched him. The boy – Harry’s – black eyes with no whites stared back at him.
“His brain failed to withstand his . . . adjustments.” Anne continued.
“What kind of experiment was he?”
Anne looked down at her clipboard. “Mind-reading. He lost his sanity after the process – wouldn’t stop talking about a clock.” She looked back up at her boss, and Walker nodded briefly. “Continue.”
“He’s the first one to be infected. We’re still unsure how the virus spreads, but we’re thinking it’s through a bite. It’s a nasty thing,” Anne explained, looking back up at the infected boy. “The virus invades the brain and originally kills all emotions, but our employees figured out how to spare anger and even bump up those hormones a bit. Otherwise the virus takes over the body completely. We don’t know why, but it seems that the discolouration in the eyes is a side effect.” Anne glanced at the mouth, tipping her head down. “The original teeth of the subject fall out, and within two days new ones grow in, perfectly spaced.”
Walker thought it was beautiful. This creation, such a perfect killing machine, filled with only rage and hate, with deadly teeth. But the best part was that they didn’t need to make them bit-by-bit, all they had to do was spread the virus. These soldiers would play an amazing role in his plans – everything would be perfect, just like these beasts.
The infected boy grinned even bigger and stood up, looking Walker in the eyes. He tilted his head, his teeth shiny with saliva. “Are you scared of me?”
Walker didn’t respond. He had no reason to talk to his subject – their thoughts didn’t matter. They were the ones behind the bars, not him.
“Actually,” The boy said, his voice melodic. “To me, you’re the one behind bars.”
“Oh, right,” Anne sighed, glaring at the boy. “The change to the mental structure of the brain also allowed it to regain its abilities. He’s still able to read minds.”
“Does the ability spread with the virus?” Walker asked hopefully, but Anne shook her head. “No. Only the base subjects have the abilities.”
   Walker sighed. “Anything else?”
“Yes,” Anne said. “Two things, actually. One, is that because the subject’s brain is weak at average, the virus has taken over, so it has a stronger urge to spread. This will prove an advantage to us, especially when hit by women and children. Five out of ten people will have a weaker mental structure, resulting in an uncontrollable urge to spread the virus. The other half, however, will be able to control it.”
“Good.” Walker said, grinning. The boy laughed. “Good.” He said mockingly.
Walker and his second-in-command ignored the subject and turned, walking towards the exit. Behind them, the boy yelled, “We’ll serve you well! First we’ll bite everyone on earth, save you and your pet for last. Then we’ll devour every limb of your body and tear your flesh into bits as you cry for mercy!”
The hallway behind them burst into a chaos of cheers and screams and shouts, all of the hundred infected subjects screaming at them, rattling the bars of their cell and thrashing around, creating as much noise as they could. Insane howls and yelps came from the infected subjects, hooting with their inmates. Walker smiled behind the security of his mask.
Oh, what beautiful, deadly creatures he had created. The world would see his masterpieces, for sure. And the best of them all – well, he had plans for them. For the leader.
“Wait.” Walker said as Anne reached for the security box beside the door. Her hand froze and she looked at him. “Yes?”
“You said you had two things to tell me. What was the other one?”
Anne grinned. “Right. Well, I was informed to tell you that subject 314, 307 and 315 have been found. They aren’t under our custody just yet, but we have people hunting them now. They killed one of our hunters already.”
Walker nodded. He could care less about how many people died, as long as he got his leader back. “Good. How long until they’re captured?”
Anne smiled. “Soon. Very soon.”  ------------------------------------------------
Haha! There's no Celeste, Daniel or Dylan in this one. This is about one of the bloodthirsty creators of the Institutes, Walker Finn, and his assistant Anne. What happens is that a Viral escapes where it's not supposed to, in the country that Walker is making 'human weapons' for, and starts to spread the virus, turning the world into a post-apocalyptic place. If things go as planned, of course, I don't want to set too many boundaries. So far that's all I've got, I hope you all like it!

  1. I love this. Like really. And I have my blog opened in another tab and I'm like "Ohmygosh... Holy chocolate fuzz cakes and writing skillets, this is just amazing. Now, I just have to rewrite mines out a little bit."
I love how you detailed your creatures. I can't do that! D: But it's okay.

    4. You know ... My brother put my cereal in the microwave because we were wondering if you could heat cereal then make it cold and eat it again (only caused the milk to spoil). When I put it in the freezer, I went to go eat at this restaurant then go see The Hunger Games (AND then went to Jamba Juice) then drove back home which took about an hour.
I totally forgot about the cereal and when I checked it, it was weird -____- ... You don't even know.

    1. Haha xD I've loved a book so much I've hated it before . . literally. When my favourite character in a series I read died last minute in the last book of the series, I was like, "I HATE YOU SO MUCH!!!" Shame on the author, shame. on. him.
But it's good . . . Dylan is in for a ride, trust me. I want to say what's going to happen but I can't xD You'll just have to wait, but seriously, it'll make you scream at the book. Hopefully. BWAHAHA!!!
I'm almost done the book. ALMOST. I'm hopefully going to write another 70+ pages and the book will actually be done with. And then I move on to book 2!!! AHHH!!!!

  5. So, I read this twice and it scared/surprised/shocked me just as much the second time as it did the first time. (I figured that out by reading my posts. The second time I honestly thought I had never rad this before. xD I know, I have a bad memory! Haha!)

    1. Don't we all xD I have the WORST memory. Normally it's short-term, I think, because sometimes I'll forget I'm holding something while I'm holding it . . . yeah :P
Oh, and sorry it's taking so long for the next post. I'm on my last bit of the book right now, writing the fourth part ;D

  7. Haven't spoken to YOU in a while. ;3 How goes it? The story's coming along very well I see. I had to take a break for Screnzy. It's not going well. I might just give up now. Dx I can't STAND writing scripts, especially when I really want to write my novel! It seems like you get good views (compared to me. Today? nada. Yesterday? Nada. The day before? One. Oh wait, that was me. Nada. On my new one about random snippits of my life? Seven. But that was from the same person).
Ick, too much about me. I see you had a very lovely Easter. :3 It's not EVERYday you post a picture of a bin on your blog. :P

    1. I have tried to comment on your posts,Beth (not really), but I can't find the comment button on your blogs. Sorry if you really wanted to hear from me. I have lots to say on all three of them.

    2. I've given up on my Script too xD The format is making me insane, I just want to start actually writing the darn thing :P
But I'm agreeing with Annie, for some reason there's NO comment button on your posts. Otherwise you'd probably have to block me from your site, I would've written so much xD
Guiltily, I'm currently not writing right now because I got a new computer game called Skyrim. Yes, I'm a nerd. All the boys in my class played it, and I'm a girl . . . heh xD But let me tell you, IT'S AMAZING AND I'M TOTALLY ADDICTED. So yes, I'm sadly neglecting my story . . . *starts crying*
I will get back to it, I promise. But I'll bet all of you know the parts when it's kind of boring to write . . . actually right now I'm doing my Climax. And yet big changes somehow become boring to write for me, unlike reading it. Now my characters are being forced out of their safe house and into the world, where they'll come face to face with the post-apocalyptic Virals. DUH DUH DUH.

    3. Maybe the font color for comments is in black so it blends in with the background. Trying changing a few of the font colors on your blog, and it may magically show up. I hope this helps!

I know what you mean, Mikiki. Just when your story starts to get exciting, you get bored. Maybe it is because the plot seems incredibly obvious to you and so the excitement vanishes. That is when you start to question your plot and begin asking yourself if it is really mysterious, or just as obvious to your readers.
My cousins used to be OBSESSED with Skyrim. I'm not kidding. I just hope you don't decide to change your profession before I get to finish reading your book! xD

    4. Sure, I definitely will change the colour. I agree, I find myself highlighting the part crossing over "Abnormal Angels" just so I can read it.
I made a new post, FINALLY! My story is nearing an end . . . then my next one! OHMIGOSH!!

  8. I meant that advice for Beth (not really), but I suppose all bloggers could use the advice. (We really can be quite inconsiderate) By the way, how do you get the background to be that cool? (Mine could use some work) xD

  9. I made it ^^ I use Photoshop for all my work, but if you'd like a background, I could make you one ;) I like making stuff :D

  10. I want something with stars (hence, my name). With a mystical-ish tree with the moon (full) in the background. I found a picture just like it but it is supposedly too big to fit. It is really frustrating.

I'm wondering if this is the picture you were talking about . . . it'd be funny if it was xD I know the moon looks a little odd . . . heh, stupid resizing, but that's probably the best I can do :P I hope you like it!
